About Woman Warrior Workshops
Woman Warrior workshops provide a gentle and powerful healing space for women who have experienced sexual trauma.
These workshops are a place for you to feel safe and secure as you move forward in your healing journey. Led by Halli Jastaran Faulkner, Woman Warrior workshops use the tools of movement, breath, and mantra to tap into your own healing power.
Each workshop includes breath work, yoga movement, rest, relaxation and group meditation. Some of this meditation will be silent, and some will use chanting or mantra.
Although we sometimes share our experiences by talking with each other, no one is ever required to speak or share during class - the most powerful moments of connection are often found in silence.
Workshop themes include grounding, centering, pleasure, prosperity, joy, abundance, deservedness, balance, and well-being.

DO I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT IT?
No. Although we sometimes have open sharing circles during class, no one is ever required to speak or share. The most powerful moments of connection are often found in silence.
who can come?
While Woman Warrior workshops focus on providing education and healing for those who identify as women, female, or gender non-conforming, these workshops are open to everyone who wants to attend. Woman Warrior workshops are accessible for all bodies and no prior yoga or meditation experience is necessary. We find strength in coming together as a diverse community of survivors.
what’s DIFFERENT FROM A NORMAL YOGA CLASS?
In Woman Warrior workshops, you'll have the opportunity to practice specific body movement to open up the chakras and heal body areas that most often are effected by sexual violence -- hips, navel, spine, heart, and mind. You'll learn meditation techniques that specifically mitigate the effects of sexual trauma. And you'll become part of a beautiful community of survivors.
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE I come?
During Woman Warrior workshops, the most important thing is that you feel empowered to be in control of your body and your space. Take a break, leave class, sing with joy, share your feelings, or whatever works for you. If you are nervous or anxious before joining your first Woman Warrior workshop, please do not hesitate to reach out.
